Glenville, W.Va. - The Pioneers have now suffered three straight losses in a row after starting the season 3-0. Last Saturday GSC fell at #3 Shepherd University, 38-7. Despite the Rams winning by 31 points the game was much closer than the score indicated.

GSC will need to have a quick turnaround as it's a short week as they host Alderson Broaddus in a non-conference game on Thursday, October 13th at I.L. & Sue Morris Stadium at 7PM in the I-79 Barrel Classic fueled by Ike Morris and Mike Ross.
 
This is only the second ever matchup between the two schools in football. Last season Glenville State defeated Alderson Broaddus on the road, 48-30.
 
The Battlers come into the game with a 4-2 overall record and are coming off a 35-16 win over Malone University this past Saturday.
 
Glenville State has a slight advantage on offense as the Pioneers offense is 4^th in the MEC in scoring averaging 27.0 points per game while the Battlers are averaging 18.20 points per game. Glenville State is also averaging 395.0 Total Offensive Yards Per Game while Alderson Broaddus is averaging 336.6 Total Offensive Yards Per Game.
 
Glenville State defense is still ranked 1^st in the MEC in Turnover Margin as they are +10 in that category.
 
Alderson Broaddus has had four different quarterbacks take snaps this season however Dakota Bruggeman is the leader he has completed 50-out-of-84 passes on the year with 529 yards and five touchdowns. He is also completing 59% of his passes.
 
The Battlers defense is led by safety Michael James as he has 39 total tackles with 11 TFL's, one sack, and three interceptions.
 
The Pioneers are led by quarterback Dante Roberts as he completed 155-out-of-259 passes for 1,547 yards and 16 touchdowns. The 16 TD's ranks him 19^th in the NCAA DII in Passing Touchdowns. Glenville State has two dynamic wideouts in Dante Absher and DJ Williams both have seven touchdowns receptions on the year. However DJ Williams has missed the last two games due to an ankle injury.
 
The Pioneers defense is led by safety Earon Settles as he has 46 total tackles and two interceptions. Demetrius Lofton leads the team in TFL's with 11, he also leads the team in sacks with 6.5 on the season, with three of them coming this past weekend against Shepherd.
