Glenville, W.Va. – The GSC Lady Pioneers basketball team improved to 2-0 on the early season as they defeated Edinboro University by 13 points on Sunday, 81-68.
Glenville State (2-0) had another good game shooting the ball as they shot 43 percent form the floor and 50 percent from behind the three-point line while Edinboro (0-2) shot just 27 percent from the field and 19 percent from behind the arc. The Lady Pioneers also won the rebounding battle 55 to 46.
Julie Bishop continued her strong play as she scored a game high 16 points going 6-of-8 from the floor and 4-of-5 from deep.
Paris McLeod scored 15 points and had 10 rebounds as she recorded a double-double.
Newcomer
Kaelynn Wilson scored 12 points while
Kristin DesRocher scored 11 points.
Courtney Davis chipped in with seven points and grabbed a game high 12 rebounds.
Edinboro was led by Ciara Rosten as she scored 15 points and pulled down eight rebounds.
Glenville State will hit the road this Saturday, November 19
th as they travel to Shepherd University for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off in their first MEC game of the year.
