Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State Pioneer men's basketball team picked up their second straight victory of the season at home on Saturday with an 82-74 win over the UVa-Wise Cavaliers.
After the first of action Glenville State (2-3, 2-2) headed into the break leading UVa-Wise (1-7, 0-4) by 10, 41-31.
In the second half GSC would extend their lead to 21 points, 69-48 with 8:40 left to play, GSC's largest lead of the game, however the Cavaliers would make several good runs late as they cut the Pioneers lead to just three, 75-72 at the 1:42 minute mark.
Glenville State then went on a six point run as they held off the late surge by UVa-Wise as they picked up the victory. Â
Brett Morris score 25 points to lead GSC and pulled down a game high 10 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the year and second straight.
Jon Dunmyer scored 19 points and dished three assists as he went 6-of-8 from the floor.

Jalon Plummer all scored nine points in the win.
The Cavaliers was led by Taiwo Badmus as he scored a game high 28 points to go with nine rebounds.
The Pioneers will return to action on Wednesday, December 7
th as they travel to Alderson Broaddus for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off with the Battlers.Â
