Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State Lady Pioneers had nine players score in double figures as they picked up a huge 53 point win on Saturday defeating the Yellow Jackets of West Virginia State 138-85.

Glenville State's (13-2, 7-2) 138 points is the most scored in school history in a single game.

The Lady Pioneers would cruise to a 25 point halftime lead as they scored a season high 76 point in the first half as they led, 76-51.

In the second half it would be all GSC as they outscored the Yellow Jackets 62-34 claiming the victory.

The Lady Pioneers defense forced 26 turnovers and scored 40 points off of them. GSC also outscored the Yellow Jackets in the paint 54 to 37.

Glenville State shot 48 percent from the floor going 51-of-105 and shot 41 percent from deep hitting 26-of-62. The 26 made three-pointers were just four off of the NCAA DII record which was 30, set by Okla. Panhandle in 2011.

Between the two schools they hit 37 three-pointers in the game which broke the NCAA DII record for Three-Point Field Goals by Both Teams. The previous record which was set in 2015 by Glenville State was 35.

Paris McLeod scored a game high 22 points to go along with seven rebounds and six assists. Erika Toney had another great performance as she score 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds while Odyssey Trussell chipped in with 15 points and four assists.

West Virginia State (7-8, 5-4) was led by Sydney Bates as she scored 13 points while Jasmine Davis had 12 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double and Shealyn Shafer also had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Glenville State will return to action on Monday, January 16^th as they host the University of Charleston Golden Eagles at 5:30 p.m.
