Glenville, W.Va. – The GSC Lady Pioneers struggled shooting the ball as they dropped just their third game of the season on the road Thursday night to the Bobcats of West Virginia Wesleyan 87-75.

Glenville State (14-3, 8-3) had a terrible night shooting as they went 29-of-106 from the floor for 27 percent and even worse from deep as they hit a season low 3-of-42 three-pointers for just 7 percent.

After a good first quarter GSC and WVWC were all tied up at 20 all. However the Bobcats would make their separation in the second quarter as they outscored the Lady Pioneers 24 to 7 as GSC headed into halftime trailing 44-27.

In the third quarter the Bobcats would extend their lead to 28 points at the 3:07 minute mark, 61-33 and end up taking a 67-44 lead into the fourth.

Glenville State would make a run late in the fourth as they cut it to 11 points 82-71 with 2:14 to play but that's as close as the Lady Pioneers would get.

The Lady Pioneers defense forced 39 turnovers a scored 33 points off of them and GSC outscored the Bobcats in the paint 28-20.

Paris McLeod scored a game high 26 points, her 16^th time this season scoring in double figures, and eight rebounds to go with four steals. Tayana Stewart scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds and dished out three assists.

Brittany Jackson was the only other Lady Pioneer in double figures with 11 points.

West Virginia Wesleyan (6-8, 6-5) had five players score in double figures with Stacy Remer scoring 20 points.

Glenville State will return to action this Saturday, January 21^st as they host the Rams of Shepherd University at 2:00 p.m.
