Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State Pioneers dropped a tough home game to the Blue Knights of Urbana on Thursday night at the Waco Center by 11 points.

Glenville State (8-9, 5-8) would fall behind in the first half and Urbana would end up taking a 10 point lead into halftime 42-32 over the Pioneers.

In the second half Urbana extended their lead to 20 at the 13:19 minute mark 61-41. The Pioneers chipped into the lead however Urbana again gained control of the contest as they pushed their lead to 24 points, their largest of the game, 77-53 with under 10 minutes to play.

Glenville State made a late run and cut the Blue Knights lead to 10 points three different times but came up short as they fell to Urbana 96-85 dropping their third straight.

Brett Morris scored a game-high 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Pioneers. Jon Dunmyer chipped in with 23 points and Terry Davis Jr. finished with 10 points.

As a team GSC only had eight assists on the night.

Urbana (9-10, 4-9) had six players score in double figures with DeQuan Abrom leading the team with 21 points.

The Pioneers return to action this Saturday, January 28^th as they host Notre Dame at 4:00 p.m.
