Glenville, W.Va. – The GSC men's basketball team dropped their fourth straight contest on Saturday at home to the Notre Dame Falcons.

Glenville State (8-10, 5-9) got off to a nice start as they held an early three point lead over Notre Dame 9-6. However the Falcons then went on a 21-5 run as they built a 13 point lead 27-14 with 8:49 to play till halftime.  

Notre Dame ended up taking a 46-33 lead into the break.

In the second half GSC would come out strong as they made an 18-7 run to pull within two points 53-51 with 11:42 to play.

Glenville State would keep it close however Notre Dame took an eight point lead 73-65 with under four minutes to play.

Notre Dame then hit its free-throws down the stretch as the Falcons held off the Pioneers 84-76.

Glenville State forced Notre Dame into 16 turnovers and scored 23 points off of them while the Pioneers also had the advantage on the inside outscoring the Falcons 32 to 19 in the paint.

Brett Morris had another great game for the Pioneers as he scored 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Darhius Nunn also had a good outing as he scored 12 points and dished out a game-high eight assists.

Notre Dame (14-6, 8-6) had three players score in double figures with Kyauta Taylor scoring a game-high 29 points and Will Vorhees scored 27 points.

Glenville State will host the Concord University Mountain Lions this coming Wednesday, February 1^st at the Waco Center with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m.
