Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State Lady Pioneers defeated the Notre Dame Falcons on Saturday afternoon at the Waco Center as they picked up their third straight win.

Glenville State (17-3, 11-3) struggled early in the ball game as they took just a four point lead into halftime 35-31.

In the third quarter the Lady Pioneers went on 20-11 run as they built a 13 point lead 55-42 at the 3:11 minute mark.

In the fourth quarter Notre Dame would cut it to single digits, just nine points, 67-58 with 7:33 to play but that's as close as the Falcons would get as GSC went on to claim a 14 point victory 83-69.

GSC forced 19 turnovers and converted them into 24 points while also scoring 19 second chance points. 

The Lady Pioneers had three players score in double figures with Paris McLeod scoring a game-high 20 points to go with nine rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Erika Toney scored 17 points in the win and pulled down nine rebounds while Courtney Davis had an nice outing as she finished with a double-double scoring 13 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.

Notre Dame (7-12, 6-8) was led by Kim Cook as she scored 17 points.

Glenville State will return to action this Wednesday, February 1^st as they host the Concord University Mountain Lions with tip set 5:30 p.m.
