Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State Lady Pioneers basketball squad went on the road Thursday night and walked away with a 39 point victory over Urbana University, 112-73, extending their winning streak to eight straight games.

Glenville State (11-1, 5-1) had a good night shooting from the floor as they went 39-of-94 from the floor for 41 percent and finished 16-of-50 from deep for 32 percent.

The Lady Pioneers also had a big advantage on the boards as they out rebound the Blue Knights 61-49.

Urbana (3-6, 1-5) took the early lead 2-1 but after that GSC would take their first lead and never trail again in the game.

Paris McLeod had another great performance for GSC as she scored 19 points, grabbed five rebounds, dished out five assists, and had six steals. Courtney Davis posted her fourth double-double of the season and second in back-to-back games as she scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Odyssey Trussell scored 17 points while Tayana Stewart chipped in with 14 points.

Urbana was led by Danie Shafer as she scored a game high 21 points.

Glenville State will return home this Sunday, January 8^th as they host the West Liberty Hilltoppers at 2:00 p.m. from the Waco Center.
