Glenville, W.Va. - The Glenville State Pioneer football team picked up their second win of the season and their first conference victory of the year at home on Saturday, 48-28. This week GSC hits the road as they travel to take on the Hilltoppers of West Liberty at 1 p.m. from West Family Stadium.
Glenville State (2-4, 1-4) had an explosive day, last Saturday, as they racked up 574 total yards on 78 plays while Concord (1-5, 1-5) gained 301 on the day on 69 plays.
The penalties again plagued the Pioneers as they were flagged 15 times for 157 yards while Concord was flagged three times for 14 yards.
Again the Pioneers offense was in full swing as they racked up 574 total yards with 269 passing yards and 305 on the ground. Both teams were perfect in the red-zone as GSC went 5-of-5 and Concord finished the day 4-of-4.
Quarterback
Jaylen McNair threw for 223 yards as he went 18-for-29 with three touchdowns and an interception. McNair, is ranked 24
th in the Nation in Passing TD's with 13 on the year.
Austin Ratliff was McNair's favorite target as he caught five passes for 39 yards and a score. Ratliff, also had a big day on ground as he rushed for 162 yards on 12 carries and a rushing touchdown.
DJ Williams also had a nice day as he caught four passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns.
Dominique Gibson carried the ball 15 times for 73 yards and a score. Wide Receiver duo

Javon Butler have been great for the Pioneers. Williams ranks 8
th in the Nation in Receiving TD's with eight while Butler ranks 18
th with six touchdowns catches. Â
The Pioneer defense forced five takeaways on the day.
Cory Roberts led GSC with seven tackles on the day with two tackles-for-loss and a sack while
Earon Settles finished with five tackles, a fumble recovery, and a pass breakup.
West Liberty (2-4, 2-4) comes into the game after falling last Saturday to No. 3 Shepherd University, 51-14. The Hilltoppers defense gave up 550 yard of total offense to the Rams. Shepherd also gained 233 yards on the ground.
Shepherd held West Liberty to just 72 yards rushing in the game and shut out the Hilltoppers in the second half. Ortiz led the WLU offense with 82 yards on the ground. Cliff Clark had a game-high 10 tackles and Kerrell Johnson tallied an interception.
The Hilltoppers hold the series record 9-8 since 2000 and GSC is just 1-3 against West Liberty since joining the MEC. The Pioneers lone win came in 2015 on the road while West Liberty defeated GSC last season at home 41-24.
Kickoff between West Liberty and Glenville State is set for 1 p.m. this Saturday from West Family Stadium.
