Box Score Glenville, W.Va. - The Glenville State Lady Pioneers used a 36 to 17 second quarter as they claimed their 22nd victory of the season on the road Saturday at West Liberty.
Glenville State (22-4, 16-4) had five players score in double figures and drained 14 three-pointers on the way to the victory.
The Lady Pioneers only held a one point lead after the first quarter but a huge second quarter surge would help them claim the win as they never looked back.Â
GSC had all 15 players play in the contest. The Lady Pioneers defense forced West Liberty into 21 turnovers and converted them into 31 points. Glenville State also had 18 second chance points and 44 points from their bench in the win.
Paris McLeod led GSC with a game-high 26 points and nine rebounds while
Julie Bishop went 4-of-8 from deep as she scored 12 points.
Maya Horne scored 11 points and dished out a game-high seven assists with
Odyssey Trussell and
Erika Toney each chipping in with 10 points.Â
West Liberty (8-18, 7-13) was led by Marissa Brown as she scored 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for a double-double.
Glenville State returns to action on Thursday, February 23rd as they host the Falcons of Fairmont State University at 5:30 p.m. from the Waco Center.
