Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State Pioneers are looking to extend their win streak to 3-0 as they host the Celtics of Carlow University Sunday November 17
th at 2pm in the Waco Center.
The Blue and White sit at 2-0 on the year after hosting the first Tip-Off Classic Basketball tournament and becoming victorious over Bloomsburg University and Clarion University.
Carlow sits at 0-4 on the year with losses against WVU Tech and Villa Maria (N.Y.). During the 2018 season matchup, Glenville State downed the Celtics 121-89.
Transfer junior,
Tyvon Taylor leads the Pioneers averaging 22 points a game with 4.5 rebounds and shooting .500 from behind the arc.
Following Taylor is
Phil Bledsoe pacing 63 minutes with 33 total points on the year and 15 rebounds.
Noah Frampton and
Steven Verplancken have scored 23 and 22 points points respectively and both average 11 baskets per game. Frampton leads the Pioneers with six steals while Verplancken connects with seven assists.
The Pioneers will continue home stand as they will host West Virginia State in the first conference matchup on the year, Saturday November 23
