Glenville, W.Va. – After trailing 14-0 at halftime the Glenville State Pioneers scored 24 unanswered points in the second half as they stayed perfect at Morris Stadium with a 24-14 win over the Cardinals of Wheeling University.

Glenville State (5-4, 4-4 MEC) racked up 405 total yards of offense on 70 plays while Wheeling (0-9, 0-8 MEC) tallied just 266 yards of total offense on 67 plays.

This week Glenville State hits the road on Saturday, November 9
th as they travel to Notre Dame College.

The Pioneers rushed for 265 total yards while the GSC defense held WU to just 110 rushing yards.

Mario Pender had a great outing as he totted the ball 19 times for 152 yards and a touchdown. Pender averaged 8.0 yards per rush.

Jaylen McNair went 7-for-13 for 55 yards and a touchdown. He also carried the ball three times for 85 yards.
Isaac Myers hauled in four catches for 54 yards while
Javon Butler also caught four passes for 31 yards and touchdown.

Defensively,
Dominic Cizauskas led the GSC with 14 total tackles and one pass breakup while
Jansen King finished with seven tackles and an interception.

Delonte Hood also had seven tackles and a pick-six while
Wil Mayes totaled six tackles and a sack. GSC's defense ranks 2
nd in Defensive TD's with six on the season while they also rank 5
th in Turnover Margin with 1.44, and 2
nd in Turnovers Gained with 26 on the season.

Wheeling was led by Sy Alli IV has he carried the ball 17 times for 73 yards while Cam'ron McClain totaled 48 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Tucker Strachan went 19-for-5 for 156 yards and three interceptions.

Notre Dame (9-0, 8-0 MEC) comes into the matchup after defeating Frostburg State, 35-13.

Notre Dame's Jaleel McLaughlin rushed for 215 yards and three touchdowns to lead the sixth-ranked Falcons win over Frostburg State.

In the process, McLaughlin became the Mountain East Conference's all-time rushing leader with 4,079, surpassing the previous mark set by Concord's Calvinaugh Jones (3,890).

Chris Brimm was 10-of-22 passing for 125 yards and one score, and finished with 39 yards rushing and a TD. In addition to McLaughlin, Boyd added 68 more yards on the ground for the Falcons. Marvelle Ross had three catches for 44 yards, and Jeremy Hamilton had a TD reception.

Lee had nine tackles to lead NDC on defense. Saivon Davis was in on six tackles, including 1.5 sacks. Notre Dame held Frostburg State to its second-lowest rushing output on the season for the game (85 yards).
This is the seventh meeting between the two schools and the series is tied at 3-3 since 2013. GSC won the first three meetings however NDC has won the last three and defeated the Pioneers a year ago, 27-17.Â
