Glenville, W.Va. – The GSC Lady Pioneers split their final doubleheader of the regular season on Sunday afternoon with the Notre Dame College Falcons.
Glenville State tallied nine hits while Notre Dame racked up eights but committed three errors.
Glenville State took an early 5-0 lead in the third inning.
Ally Brown started the scoring with a single to left field as
Kayla Letart scored. Then
Karra Smith singled to center field as
Paranda Uber scored.
Kelsey Naylor singled to center as
Ally Brown crossed the plate and the final runs came when
Tori Ward singled to center as
Kelsey Naylor and
Karra Smith both scored.
Notre Dame got on the board in the fifth as they scored two runs on three hits as they pulled within three runs, 5-2.
The Lady Pioneers added a run in the sixth as
Karra Smith doubled to center field as
Kayla Letart scored as they led 6-2.
The Falcons added a run in the sixth off of four hits as GSC took game one, 6-3.
Ally Brown went 3-for-4 with an RBI while
Karra Smith went 3-for-4 with two RBI's.
Tori Ward went 1-for-4 with two RBI's while
Kelsey Naylor also recorded an RBI.
Ally Brown pitched the entire game allowing three runs on eight hits with three strike outs.
Game two saw Glenville State record six hits while committing three errors. Notre Dame finished with 12 hits in the contest as the Falcons defeated the Lady Pioneers 9-7.

Paranda Uber as the Lady Pioneers led 1-0.
Notre Dame took their first lead of the game in the second as they scored six runs on four hits. They held a five run lead over GSC, 6-1.
Glenville State pulled within three runs in the fourth when
Kelsey Naylor hit a two run homer to center field scoring
Karra Smith as they made it 6-3.
Notre Dame responded in the bottom of the fourth as they scored one run on three hits as they now led 7-3. The Falcons added two more runs in the fifth as they now led 9-3.
In the sixth, GSC's
Cassidy Taylor hit a grand slam as the Lady Pioneers pulled within two runs 9-7 but that's as close as they would get as they fell in game two.
Karra Smith went 2-for-3 with an RBI while
Kelsey Naylor went 1-for-4 with two RBI's.
Cassidy Taylor finished her final game as a Lady Pioneer going 1-for-3 with four RBI's.
Tori Ward pitched 4.0 innings allowing eight runs on nine hits with one strike out.
