Lady Pioneers Travel to WVSU to Begin Second Season Half

Glenville, W.Va. – The Blue and White are set to travel Wednesday January 22nd to Institute, WV to face of against West Virginia State University at 7:30pm for the second time this season.

The Lady Pioneers enter the contest after a recent victory over West Virginia Wesleyan College 124-75 to improve GSC to 12-4 overall and 8-2 in conference action.
 
The Yellow Jackets sit at 7-9, 5-5 MEC after a recent victory over Urbana University 115-80.
 
To begin the season, the Yellow Jackets and the Lady Pioneers squared off in the first conference matchup of the season. GSC came up with a victory 127-91 at home.
 
Pioneer Highlights
 
The Lady Pioneers lead first in the nation in Offensive Scoring with 108.6 a game while also maintaining the first position in 3Pt Field Goals Per Game with 11.9.
 
GSC sits second in Offensive Rebounds Per Game averaging 19.8 a night and fourth in Turnovers Forced with 24.63.
 
The Blue and White maintain a 46.8% in Field Goals holding the 13th position in the division.
 
Zakiyah Winfield holds the sixth seed in Field Goal Percentage with 63.3 and Emily Stoller holds the third spot in the nation in 3Pt Field Goals Per game averaging 3.63.
 
Coming Up
 
The Pioneers will host the Mountain Lions at the end of the week, Sunday January 26th at 4pm. Fans are encouraged to dress in 90's appeal.
