Pioneers Host CU On 90s Day

Glenville, W.Va. – Glenville State will host the Mountain Lions of Concord University, Sunday January 26th at 4pm in the Waco Center. Fans are encouraged to throw it back to the 90s in support of the Pioneers.

The Pioneers upset West Virginia State University to sweep the season series defeating the Yellow Jackets 107-97 in a mid-week clash. GSC improved to 10-7 on the year and 7-4 in conference action.
 
From the field, the Pioneers are shooting 47% from the floor averaging 41.1 rebounds a night.
 
Concord comes into the contest sitting at 5-11 on the year and 3-8 in MEC after a recent victory over D&E 80-63 and loss to University of Charleston 91-67.
 
The Mountain Lions ae shooting 42% from the field averaging just 34.5 in rebounds.
 
Pioneer Highlights
 
The Pioneers lead the 14th in the nation in Blocked Shots averaging 4.6 a night and fourth in Offensive Scoring with 97.9 a game.
 
Phil Bledsoe leads top ten in the nation in double-doubles with nine on the year and 14th in Rebounds Per Game averaging 9.7.
 
Noah Frampton and Tyvon Taylor lead third and fourth in the conference in Assist/Turnover Ratio with 2.2
