Glenville, W.Va. – The Blue and White are set to compete in their second match of the season at Fairmont State for a tri-meet against West Liberty and host, Fairmont Saturday January 16 at 1:00pm.
 
Pioneer, Hilltopper and Fighting Falcon's Files
 
The Pioneers fell 12-37 to both Alderson Broaddus and West Liberty in their season opening match last week. Glenville State took three of the ten matches against the Battlers and two of ten against the Hilltoppers.
 
West Liberty will face off against the Pioneers again tomorrow afternoon coming into the match 2-0 defeating Alderson Broaddus and Glenville state 38-10 and 37-12.
 
Fairmont State comes into the match 1-1 on the year as they opened their season against Wheeling University and Davis & Elkins. The Fighting Falcons defeated the Cardinals 27-15 taking five matches. Against the Senators, Fairmont tallied four match wins
 
Pioneer Highlights
 
Alec Fulwider earned the first single victory for GSC, wrestling at 141 lbs., defeating West Liberty's Parker Mazik by decision, 11-6 and opened the season 2-0.
 
Gavin Shamblin and Cole Houser also gained two victories against West Liberty in the 141 and 157lbs weight class.
 
Houser also sits 2-1 heading into tomorrow's tri match.
