Glenville, W.Va. – The Lady Pioneers are set to host Fairmont State Saturday January 30 in the Waco Center with tipoff slated at 2:00pm.

Coming off a paused schedule, the Lady Pioneers hold a 5-1 record after defeating the West Liberty Hilltoppers 101-98 coming down to the final free throws of the game.
Glenville State maintains many top positions on the stat sheet within the division, sitting first in Offensive Scoring and Offensive Rebounds per Game with 109.5 points and 21.8 rebounds per contest. Holding the second spot, GSC is second in Scoring Margin, Steals per Game and Three-Point Field Goals per Game averaging, 29.5, 16.5 and 11.5 per outing, respectively.
Fairmont State ends the week facing Glenville State after hosting and defeating both Davis & Elkins College and Concord University. The Fighting Falcons defeated the Senators with a significant scoring margin 100-60 but forced the Mountain Lions into an overtime coming out on top 90-85.
Holding a 3-4 overall record, FSU sits first in the conference in Field Goal Percent Defense averaging 0.256 and third in Free-Throw percentage averaging 73.4%.
Pioneer Highlights
Zakiyah Winfield leads fifth in the conference in rebounding, seventh in scoring and eighth in free throw percentage averaging 8.8, 20.5 per game respectively while shooting 81.4% from the floor.
Taychaun Hubbard has been efficiently shooting the ball and she hold the fifth spot within the MEC in Field Goal Percentage shooting 53.6% from the floor.
Re'Shawna Stone has racked 22 assists on the season averaging 3.7 per contest leading fifth in the conference and ninth in scoring with 18.5 ppg.
