Lady Pioneers Shine In Day Two of MEC Women’s Golf Championship

Warren, Ohio - Glenville State Women's Golf Team remains in the lead entering the third day of the Mountain East Conference Women's Golf Championship. The Lady Pioneers finished round two with a 326 gaining another stroke over the University of Charleston.

Sophomore Kendall Wall led the Pioneers on day two finishing eight over par. Wall cut five strokes from the first round and now sits in second. Holly Elliott was close behind Wall with an 81. As an individual Elliott sits tied for ninth. Junior Lizzie Bickar finished the day with an 82 also cutting five strokes from her first-round score. Bickar is in 13th place just shy of the top ten. Grace Halcrow joins teammate Holly Elliott tied for ninth with her round two score of 83. Freshman Hailey Hendershott wrapped up the Lady Pioneers card shooting an 84. Even with today's 84 Hendershott enters the final day tied for third.

Glenville through two days has produced a team score of 651. The University of Charleston is 12 strokes behind the Pioneers. Davis and Elkins College is in third place and trails Glenville by 20 strokes. Wheeling University rounds out the top four with a team score of 685.
