GSU Wrestling Prepares to Host University of Findlay, Indianapolis, and Mercyhurst

Glenville, W.Va. - Glenville State's Wrestling team is back in action this Thursday afternoon for the Battle on the Gridiron Two. The slate of tomorrow's duals is set with multiple nationally ranked teams. The University of Indianapolis is ranked number three in the nation and Mercyhurst is 14th in the nation.

All teams involved in the Batlle on the Gridiron Two have individuals ranked in the NWCA Coaches Rankings. The 174-weight class will feature three individuals ranked inside the top ten. Mercyhurst's Dillon Walker is ranked third followed by the Pioneer's Hunter Delong. Delong has had a great start to the season winning his first five matches. Hunter also picked up a win over a nationally-ranked opponent against Ashland. Findlay's Hunter Reed sits in ninth rounding out the individuals ranked competing in the 174 weight Class.

The Pioneers coached by Dylan Cottrell are looking to build upon the success from the Pioneer Duals. Along with Delong, two more Pioneers finished the day undefeated. Sophomore Gavin Quiocho and Devin Easton both went 5-0 last Saturday. As a team, Glenville State currently is (5-0) overall and (2-0) in the Mountain East Conference. The Pioneers can continue to pick up wins against ranked teams. Building their resume for the postseason.
