GLENVILLE – Coach Justin Caldwell's Glenville State Pioneers are back on the road Wednesday night, traveling to face perennial national power West Liberty. GSC is coming off a convincing 100-78 victory over Frostburg last Saturday.

GSC has been playing short-handed without starters Nick Edwards and Luke LeRose but have remained competitive on the road against some very strong teams like Notre Dame and Fairmont. They are hoping for another strong effort Wednesday night on "The Hilltop."

John Williams Jr. has positioned himself to chase the league's scoring title. He is currently on top, averaging 23.5 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. Teammate Adrian Scarborough has recorded seven double-doubles in the last eight games, raising his scoring average to 15.2 and his rebounding average to 9.1. He went 10-of-11 from the field on Saturday, raising his league leading field goal percentage to a sterling 69.3%. Tommy Williams has been coming on strong of late as well, and has raised his season average to 10.5 ppg.

West Liberty is led by Pat Robinson at 20.1 points per game, and Bryce Butler at 17.5. They lead the league in team scoring at 98.9, with GSC sitting in second at 91.3.

It will likely be a high-scoring affair.

Glenville enters the contest 8-11 overall, and 5-10 in the MEC. West Liberty is 20-2, and 14-2.

Tip-off is set for 7:30 at West Liberty's ASRC.
