FINDLAY, OH – Glenville's softball team traveled to Findlay on Sunday afternoon, and suffered a two losses to the tough Oiler squad; 16-0 and 13-5.
In the opening game, the Pioneers had three hits, as Findlay's Megan Demler spun a ahutout. In Game Two, GSU kept it close for the most of the game, scoring single runs in the second and third innings, followed by three in the fourth. They were trailing 8-5 at that point, but Findlay pulled away with a five-run fifth to close the game.
Hayley Stevens had a strong day at the plate for Glenville, going four-of-six with two doubles, a triple, and pair of RBI's.
Coach Sara Scoone's Glenville squad falls to 4-7 with the losses, while Findlay improves to 12-6.
Glenville is back in action Monday, facing Tiffin in a matinee doubleheader. First pitch is set for 12:00.
