Lady Pioneers Host the Falcons of Notre Dame on Saturday

Glenville, W.Va. - Glenville State Women's Basketball team returns home to face The Falcons of Notre Dame College. As the month of January comes to an end the Lady pioneers have only had one loss. Since GSU's first meeting against the Falcons, NDC has only had two Mountain East Conference wins.

A Look at Your Lady Pioneers

The Lady Pioneers have won the last 17 contents in a row against Notre Dame College. Glenville State has not lost to the Falcons inside the Waco Center since the 2015-16 season. In the first meeting between these two squads at the beginning of the 2022-23 campaign, Glenville came out on top 116-58 on the road.

A Look at Notre Dame College

Notre Dame College is coming off a 67-50 loss to Concord University. In the second quarter of the game, the Falcons' shooting went cold going 23% from the field and 20% from beyond the arc. NDC would be out-rebounded 52-21 in Wednesday night's MEC matchup.

To start off the month of January the Falcons defeated Frostburg State on the road. After the win away from home Notre Dame dropped their next four. However, NDC bounced back with a close win against Alderson Broaddus University. The Falcons have already played three ranked opponents this season.

As a team, Notre Dame has been one of the better three-point shooting teams in the conference. On average the Falcons are shooting 30.1% from beyond the arc which is fourth in the MEC. While the Falcons have had success shooting the deep ball, they have struggled to stop opponents from deep. Opponents shooting 31.9% from three against NDC.
