Acrobatics and Tumbling Travels North to Face the Hilltoppers of West Liberty

Glenville, W.Va. - Glenville State Acrobatics and Tumbling is back in action this Sunday at West Liberty University.

In first-year Head Coach Taylor Broadwater's first meet the Lady Pioneers had a strong showing with a score of 257.130. Glenville State's 257.130 created history as it is the program's highest first-meet score. Freshman Savanah Duckworth had a solid performance at the Fairmont State Tri-Meet. The Worthington, W.Va. native was an honorable mention for the NCATA Freshman of the Week.

Both squads were picked to make the MEC playoff. West Liberty was selected fourth in the 2023 Preseason Poll. However, Glenville State was close behind with just four points separating them.

Similarly to the Lady Pioneers, the Hilltoppers have already faced two opponents this season. Head Coach Kelsey Kyle's Hilltoppers started off the 2023 season against the #1 team in the nation Baylor University. West Liberty would fall to the Bears 267.050-238.51 in Waco. In their second meet of the season, the Hilltoppers faced another perineal power in Gannon University.

With a win on Sunday, the Lady Pioneers can double their win total from last season and be off one of their best starts since the 2019 season.
