GSU Acrobatics and Tumbling Hosts Stevenson University

3/18/2023 2:00:00 PM

GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Acrobatics and Tumbling are back in action in the Waco Center for their second home meet of the season.

Head Coach Taylor Broadwater's squad has had a great start to the 2023 campaign. The Lady Pioneers are off to their best start since the 2019 season. With already recording three wins GSU has surpassed their win totals from the 2022 and 2021 seasons. Throughout the season the Lady Pioneers have consistently had superb showings in the Pyramid and Toss events. In four meets GSU has only missed out on 6.35 points in the Pyramid and 6.60 in the Toss.

Stevenson enters Sunday's meet with a (1-4) overall record. Since defeating Caldwell University to start the 2023 campaign the Mustangs have dropped four straight. Stevenson has already faced a Mountain East Conference opponent this season. While the Mustangs fell to the Hilltoppers of West Liberty 246.655-198.320, they would set a new season-high meet total.

Stevenson is coached by Emily Houser who enters her second season with the program. Houser was announced as the first Acrobatic and Tumbling coach in the school's history.

Sunday's meet will begin at 2:00 PM inside the Waco Center. Fans can follow the action in the link below.
