Glenville State Acrobatics and Tumbling Defeat Stevenson 246.740-128.750

GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Acrobatics and Tumbling picked up their fourth win of the 2023 campaign defeating Stevenson 246.740-128.750. The Lady Pioneers have now won three consecutive meets. 

Coach Broadwater's squad had a strong first half jumping out to an 18.9-point lead. In the first event of the meet, the GSU produced a 9.35 in the Pyramid Heat and a 9.10 in the toss heat. Once again in the Acro Event Glenville set a new season high scoring a 26.95. The five-element unit of Morgan Thomas, Abigail McDermott, and Savannah Duckworth produced a 9.20 and the seven-element squad of Madisyn Hahn, Mackenzie Bathe, and Taylor Oldaker scored 9.10 in their respective heats. 

Before heading into the half the Lady Pioneers hit an incredible feet in the Pyramid Event. GSU recorded their first 9.90 for the first time since 2021 in the Open Heat. Hannah Cunningham, freshman Delany Rosales, Mackenzie Bathe, and Abigail McDermott were the unit that accomplished this achievement. 

Coming out of the half Glenville continued to grow their lead in the Toss, Tumbling, and Team Event. Three Stong scores in the Toss helped GSU only miss 2.55 possible events. Erin Finney In the Areil Pass produced a 9.125 for the Lady Pioneers.

Glenville State Acrobatics and Tumbling will be back in action on the road at Davis and Elkins College on Friday, March 24th.
