Glenville, W.Va – Glenville State's Men's Golf team opens their Spring season this weekend, traveling to the "Battle of Brunswick" in Calabash, North Carolina.
 
The event includes a total of 14 teams, including several top teams from the Atlantic and South regions. There will be a total of eight Mountain East Conference schools in attendance. Playing for GSU coaches John and Bill Lilly are seven golfers in the 36-hole event; including All-Conference performers Juan Monckeberg and Shaydon Johnson. Also teeing it up for the Pioneers are Mathias Nunez, Fabricio Meza, Tanner Vickers. Sam McNeill and Bumin Choi are playing in the event as individuals.
 
This was originally scheduled as a 54-holer tournament, but will now only be 36. Round One is set for Saturday, and Round Two set for Sunday.
