BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - The Glenville State Men's & Women's Golf teams have swept the Mountain East Conference Golfer of the Week awards presented by The Health Plan, the league announced this afternoon. Hailey Hendershott took home the award for the second consecutive week while Benjamin Fernandez captured MEC Golfer of the Week on the men's side. 

Hendershott, a sophomore from Paris, Canada, took home MEC Women's Golfer of the Week after shooting two-under par at the UC Invitational. Hendershot was three-under par (68) on Monday and one-over par (72) on Tuesday, helping lead the Pioneers to a finish atop the leaderboard. 

Fernandez, a freshman from Paraguay, shot seven-under par at the UC Invitational. Fernandez began the tournament with a 71 (+1) but finished the last two rounds with a 65 (-5) and 67 (-3).  

The women return to the course this weekend at Ohio Dominican and the men hit the course Sunday-Tuesday at Davis & Elkins.
