GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State Women's Basketball has two home matchups this week with the first being a 3 p.m. tip against Pitt-Johnstown on Monday (Dec. 2) and finishing the week against Salem on Wednesday (Dec. 4) at 10 a.m. for the annual Kids Day in the Waco Center.

2024-25 Season
UPJ comes into this matchup with a (1-6) overall record and having lost their last three contests.
Head Coach
D'wan Shackleford-Vickroy is in her first season leading UPJ Women's Basketball. She previously spent time as an assistant coach at Ohio Dominican for two seasons, where she was also the recruiting coordinator and strength & conditioning coordinator. Vickory played college ball at Ohio State, earning Big 10 All-Star honors and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
Quick Look at The Mountain Cats
Belle Bosch leads the Mountain Cats in scoring with 18 points per game, their only scorer that averages double figures. Liv West and Lexi Margolis both average eight points a game. Bosch is also the team's leading rebounder, averaging seven per night with Margolis averaging just over four rebounds a game. Riley Childress runs the show as the team's point guard and has recorded 35 assists on the year.
SALEM
2024-25 Season
The Tigers come into this matchup with an (0-7) record and are looking to get their first win of the season this week.
Head Coach
Nikayla Edgell is in her second season at the helm of the Salem WBB program. Edgell led the Tigers to seven wins in her first season as HC in 2023-24. She came to SU after serving as an assistant coach at Alderson Broaddus and Salem.

SU has two players averaging over 10 points a game with Carine Pinkney averaging 17 and Liliani Krause averaging just over 12 points per contest while Cassandra Smith chips in over 8.0 PPG. Underneath, Carmen Vasquez leads the Tigers with close to seven rebounds per night and Pinkney also leads the team in assists with 12 total whiel Kori Pillette has recorded 11.
THE PIONEERS
GLENVILLE STATE
2024-25 Season
The Lady Pioneers enter the week (5-2, 2-1 MEC), following a 109-92 victory over Charleston on Tuesday. GSU went on a four-game winning streak earlier in the season.

Tynasia Bunting continues to put together a good season scoring the ball as she averages north of 14 points per game while Dream Cherry averages 11 and has made 16 threes to lead the Lady Pioneers. Nwando Okigbo also averages double figures, coming in right at 10.0 PPG while Ashlyn Riley averages almost nine points a game and is shooting nearly 40% from beyond the arc. Okigbo and Bunting have been grabbing boards underneath as Bunting averages just over eight and Okigbo averaging almost seven per game. The Lady Pioneers have been active on defense all year as Bunting has recorded 17 steals while Riley and Cherry have 16.
