THE OPPONENT
SALEM
The Tigers are (1-4) in their debut season, defeating Lincoln Memorial Univ., 29-15, on Dec. 1 to capture their first victory in program history. Salem only features an 11-man roster, led by former Glenville State standout Cole Houser, who was a regionally ranked wrestler and team captain at GSU. Houser was formally an assistant at King Univ. for a season.
THE PIONEERS
GLENVILLE STATE
The Pioneers enter (5-1) in dual matches with their only loss coming to nationally ranked Division 1 opponent, West Virginia. Glenville State won their first-ever match over a D1 program earlier this year when they defeated Morgan State, 27-12. Since then, GSU went (4-0) at the Carolina Clash, including a win over No. 22 UNC Pembroke. The now 2
nd ranked team in the country features nine of their 10 starters nationally ranked with
Gavin Quiocho (133) and
Hayden Pummel (174) earning No. 1 recognition at their respective weights.
