GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Acrobatics & Tumbling looks to carry over the momentum from last Saturday's big win against West Liberty to tomorrow's (Feb. 11) matchup at Fairmont State. GSU fell to the Falcons last year 266.300-257.130 on the road.

THE OPPONENT
FAIRMONT STATE
The Falcons went (9-3, 4-1) in 2023, falling to Frostburg State in the MEC Championship before having their season ended at the NCATA National Championships. FSU fell to #1 Baylor in the opening round after securing a #8 seed. Tomorrow's matchup with the Pioneers is the season opener for Fairmont State.
Danielle Curti is in her third season leading FSU A&T. Curti has secured two MEC Championships and an MEC Coach of the Year award in 2021. Fairmont State has made the NCATA National Championships in all three seasons under Curti as well. She was previously an assistant at FSU for four seasons before taking over in 2021. Curti was a four-time NCATA All-American in her college days.
The Falcons return NCATA All-American and All-MEC selection Katey Koehl as well as All-MEC honorees Izaria McWhorter-Martin and Taylor Openlander. Fairmont State received two first-place votes in the MEC Preseason Poll and eventually landed at No. 2 behind the preseason favorite Frostburg State. FSU also opens the year nationally ranked, earning #7 in the NCATA Preseason Coaches Poll.
THE PIONEERS
GLENVILLE STATE
The Pioneers come in (1-0, 1-0 MEC) after opening the 2024 season with a win over West Liberty (265.915-264.740) at home last week.
In the win against WLU, the Pioneers won four of the six events. Of those four events, GSU captured the team event (94.190-02.440) to rally back and secure the victory.
