GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Wrestling returns to the mat tomorrow (Feb. 11) at Ashland University to take on Grand Valley State and Ashland in a tri-meet.
The Pioneers previously wrestled at last weekend's Greyhound Open at the University of Indianapolis, where Ethan Hardy and Gaetano DeLeonardis went 3-0 each. Furthermore, the Pioneers secured seven individual victories over ranked opponents. Nick Johnson had his coming out party, picking up two ranked wins.
GSU met with Ashland for the first time in school history last year, defeating the then 16th ranked Eagles 23-21 in Glenville. The Pioneers have not wrestled Grand Valley State prior to this weekend. This will be the last time GSU is able to wrestle a regional opponent until the Super Region 3 Tournament on March 2.
