FAIRMONT, W.Va. - The Glenville State Acrobatics & Tumbling team fell to No. 7 Fairmont State 269.145-259.390 on the road today. The nationally ranked Falcons were able to take the lead at the beginning of the meet and sustain it all along. 

In the opening Compulsory Event, Fairmont State was able to gain a lead of over a point to start the meet, 37.300-36.200. The Acro Event was closer with the Pioneers scoring a 27.500 and the Falcons 28.050. Before halftime, GSU nearly took the Acro Event after totaling 28.500 points compared to Fairmont State's 28.550. At half, the Pioneers trailed 93.900-92.200. 

FSU grew their lead in the Toss Event, outscoring the Pioneers by .600 (27.650-27.050) to go up by over two points in the running total. Fairmont State used the Tumbling Event to pull away, scoring 54.125 points to the Pioneers 48.850. GSU had a score of 91.290 in the Team Event while the Falcons closed out the meet with a score of 93.470 in the final event.

The Pioneers will be back on the road on Feb. 25 to take on MEC preseason favorite Frostburg State.
