GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Men's Basketball will battle with Salem for the third time this season tomorrow (Feb. 7) and finish out the week at home against Notre Dame College on Saturday (Feb. 10). The Pioneers have split with the Tigers in their previous two meetings and they defeated the Falcons 88-87 earlier in the season.

THE OPPONENTS
SALEM
The Tigers enter (6-14) following an 86-82 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday evening. Earlier in the week, SU fell to Davis & Elkins by 23.
Vincent Thibodeau is in his first season leading Salem after a short stint as an assistant at DI James Madison. He was also an assistant under Brett Rector at Salem in 2021-22. Thibodeau has also coached at Western Michigan, VMI and Michigan-Dearborn.
Four Tigers are averaging double figures, led by Ian Hardy's and Jack Garrison IV's 13.0 PPG each. Kapone Barley (12.1 PPG) and Ashraf Tchadouwa (10.7) are the other Tigers in double digits. Tchadouwa is averaging a near double-double with 9.6 RPG. Brandon Francois leads the team in assists at 3.3 APG and in steals at 2.2 SPG while scoring 8.6 PPG.
NOTRE DAME COLLEGE
The Falcons come in (10-9, 5-8 MEC) after splitting in last week's games. Before Saturday's loss against Davis & Elkins, NDC had won three in a row.
Mark Richmond is in his fifth season leading the Notre Dame College MBB program. Richmond has led the Falcons to the MEC Tournament all four years and has accumulated 51 total victories since taking over in 2018-19. NDC won their most games under Richmond last season, finishing with 17 victories overall and 12 in the league. Prior to Notre Dame, he spent two seasons as Director of Basketball Operations at Youngstown State.
Devin Haid is averaging a team leading 14.2 PPG, while adding 5.4 RPG, 2.7 APG and 1.4 SPG. Andre Harris is second on the team in scoring at 12.2 PPG and leading the team in rebounding, pulling down 6.5 RPG. Davin Zeigler is first on the team in assists (3.7 APG) and steals (2.1 SPG).
THE PIONEERS
GLENVILLE STATE
The Pioneers are (10-10, 6-7 MEC) as the new week begins. GSU defeated Frostburg State on Wednesday but fell to Fairmont State on Saturday.
Jordan Turbo Smith leads the team in scoring (13.7 PPG), assists (4.5 APG) and steals (1.7 SPG). Dominiq Penn (13.3 PPG) and Devin Collins (13.1 PPG) follow closely behind Smith. Collins is the leading rebounder at 5.8 RPG for the Pioneers.
