GLENVILLE, W.Va. - The Glenville State Acrobatics & Tumbling team lost a heartbreaker to Kutztown tonight at home, falling to the Golden Bears 256.830-256.060. 

Kutztown gained a point-plus advantage through the first event of the meet, the Compulsory Event, leading the Pioneers 36.35-35.20. A strong Acro Event by GSU allowed them to trim the deficit slightly, outscoring KU 28.10-27.80 in the event to trail by just .80 in the meet. The Pyramid Event is where Glenville State was able to gain their first lead of the night, scoring 28.70 to Kutztown's 27.25. At halftime, GSU held a small advantage, 92.00-91.40. 

The lead continued to grow into the second half for the blue and white, opening the Toss Event with a 9.50 in the 450 Salto Toss and closing the last two heats to come up with a score of 27.00 compared to the Golden Bears 25.45. The Tumbling Event was neck and neck with GSU taking the event 50.00-49.30. Trailing by nearly three points, KU managed a comeback in the Team Event with a score of 90.68 while the Pioneers scored 87.06, allowing Kutztown to snag the victory in the last event with a final score of 256.830-256.060.

The Pioneers will travel to the state of Ohio on March 21 to take on Notre Dame College at 6 p.m.
