INSTITUTE, W.Va. - The Glenville State Acrobatics & Tumbling team was on the road once again tonight, picking up their second-straight win with a 263.585-160.495 victory at West Virginia State.
It was all Pioneers from the start, outscoring the Yellow Jackets 37.05-16.00 in the Compulsory Event and posting 9.90's in the toss and pyramid heats to set new season highs. From there, GSU scored 28.30 in the Acro Event and 29.00 in the Pyramid Event, leading WVSU 94.35-58.50 at the break.
After halftime, Glenville won the Toss Event 27.75-20.20 and the Tumbling Event 51.025-30.525. In the Tumbling Event, GSU set two more season highs in the open pass (9.175) and the trio pass (8.250). The dominant performance continued in the team event, posting a score of 90.46 compared to West Virginia State's 51.27, securing the lobsided victory for the Pioneers.
