GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Football and Head Coach Mike Kellar have officially released their 2024 schedule following a league-wide announcement today. The Pioneers will play two non-conference games, followed by nine Mountain East Conference contests. 

NON-CONFERENCE 
The Pioneers will open up the 2024 campaign on the road at Emory & Henry after agreeing to a home & home contract with the Wasps. GSU & EHC are slated to meet in week 0 on Aug. 31. In. GSU will then have their home opener the following week on Sept. 7 against PSAC opponent Lock Haven, who they also signed a two-year home & home contract with. 

CONFERENCE PLAY 
After a bye week, Glenville opens MEC play and renews their rivalry with Fairmont State on the road on Sept. 21. The Pioneers close out the month of September on the 28th at home against UNC Pembroke. To open October, GSU will travel to defending MEC champion Charleston on Oct. 5, followed by a home contest versus Frostburg State on the 12th. The end of October involves a road trip to Concord on Oct. 19 and a home game against West Liberty on the 26th. 

In the final month of the regular season, GSU hits the road in two of their final three games. It starts at Wheeling on Nov. 2 when the Pioneers meet up with the Cardinals at Bishop Schmitt Field. Senior day for Glenville State is scheduled for Nov. 9 when they host West Virginia State. The final game of the 2024 campaign will be in Buckhannon at West Virginia Wesleyan on Nov. 16.
