FAIRMONT, W.Va. - The Glenville State Acrobatics & Tumbling team lost in the MEC Tournament tonight to Frostburg State, falling in the semifinal round 266.315-261.060.
To start off the meet, the Pioneers were outscored by the Bobcats in the Compulsory Event, 37.350-36.275. GSU bounced back in the Acro Event, winning the event by 1.30 points and taking the lead. Prior to halftime, the Pyramid Event was neck and neck with FSU taking the event 29.20-29.125. At the half, Glenville led 92.950-92.800.
Out of the locker room, Frostburg State grabbed the lead back in the Toss Event with a 28.050-27.075 advantage in the event. The lead grew even more for the Bobcats in the Tumbling Event, totaling 52.275 points compared to the Pioneers 50.375. Though GSU got back into the 90's in their team event with a score of 90.660, FSU totaled 93.190 and won 266.315-261.060.
