GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State athletes Natalie Barr and Mason Lohr have been tabbed Pioneers of the Week, the GSU Athletic Department announced today.
Barr, who has been breaking school records all year long during the cross country, indoor track & field and the outdoor track & field seasons, is the Female Pioneer of the Week following another stellar performance at West Liberty. Barr broke her own school record in the 1500m run, crossing the finish line at 4:49 and placing 1st in the event.
Lohr was instrumental in the Pioneers winning three of their four games this past weekend, going 8-13 (.615) with 2 HR, 8 HR and a double. He also walked five times and stole a base. Lohr put up two games of 2-3 performances as well as a 3-4 finish with game one against Wheeling ending with him hitting two home runs and driving in five.
