Head Coach
Dan Mulrooney is in his third season leading the Bald Eagles Football program. Since taking over before the 2022 season, Mulrooney has taken LHU to heights that they haven't seen in 42 years. Mulrooney has won six games in his first two seasons, including five last year. He's coached four All-PSAC players in two seasons, spearheaded by Chris Collier, who won PSAC Player of the Year, was an All-American and signed a free-agent contract with the Baltimore Ravens. He came to Lock Haven after spending four seasons leading NCAA Division III Anna Maria College.

Bald Eagles Offense
Rhode Island graduate transfer Jackson Ostrowsky has been given the keys to the Lock Haven offense. Ostrowsky started his career at Southern Connecticut, where he threw for 2,185 yards and 17 touchdowns as a true freshman in 2019. Jacob Sturm and Ohio U transfer KJ Howard look to fill the void that the graduating Chris Collier left at running back. The receiving core brings back two 600+ yard receivers in T'iar Young and Quon Williams while adding Clarion transfer Corahn Allyne, who totaled 565 receiving yards and five touchdowns over the past two seasons. Up front, graduate student Chris Hicks returns at tight end after catching 31 passes for 313 yards and two touchdowns. On the offensive line, a mix of experience and inexperience is slated to shape the room.

Bald Eagles Defense
The defensive line is a veteran group with two seniors and two graduate students expected to start for Lock Haven, including two transfers. Izzy Ramos headlines the linebacker room as the Bethlehem, Pa. native had 31 tackles, four TFL, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one interception as a true freshman in 2023. At corner, three-year starter Darryl Pollard returns and Bloomsburg transfer Nadir McLeod is his new running mate after putting together 74 tackles in three seasons with the Huskies. The secondary is led by All-PSAC Second Team selection Kasir Henry, who totaled 53 tackles and six interceptions at safety last season.

Bald Eagles Special Teams
The Bald Eagles will have a brand-new man at kicker and punter in senior Tony Nicassio. The return specialists will also be veterans, headed by Corahn Alleyne and Nini Cinti.

THE PIONEERS
GLENVILLE STATE

2024 Season
The Pioneers enter (0-1) following a season-opening 38-7 loss at Emory & Henry last week. The Pioneers went (6-4, 5-4 MEC) in 2023, producing nine All-Conference players.

Pioneers' Offense
Anthony Garrett threw for 174 yards and a touchdown on 15 completions last week but was intercepted four times by the strong E&H defense. West Virginia transfer Markquan Rucker led the rushing game with 42 yards on eight carries, averaging 5.3 yards per carry. Jeremiah King (seven carries, 15 yards) and Zavione Wood (seven carries, 14 yards) were also involved on the ground.

Garrett completed a pass to nine different Pioneers, led by Naseem Pacheco and Dylan Day, who had three receptions each. Zavione Wood led the team with 40 receiving yards on two catches. Elijah Palmer had the lone TD with a 10-yard reception. Pacheco (34 yards) and Tariq Miller (two catches, 36 yards) were efficient in the receiving game as well.

Pioneers' Defense
The GSU defense was spearheaded by Hayden Moore (six tackles, 2.5 TFL and one sack), Jamair Diaz (five tackles, 2.5 TFL and 2.5 sacks) and Brogan Brown (five tackles). Tank Gant added four tackles and a TFL while senior DB Mark Shepherd Jr. picked up a pass breakup and an interception. The Pioneers only allowed 141 passing yards and 130 rushing yards but big plays hurt the blue and white at Emory & Henry.

Pioneers' Special Teams
Zander Watson had three punts last week, averaging 35.3 yards per punt with one inside the 20. Glenville State did fumble a kickoff return but totaled 84 yards on five kickoff attempts.
