Box Score GLENVILLE, W.Va. – The Glenville State Football team fell to Lock Haven, 31-9, earlier today inside Morris Stadium in the Pioneers home opener. LHU ran for 270 yards and threw for 201 yards through the air, outgaining the GSU by 249 total yards. The Pioneers close out the non-conference portion of their schedule (0-2).
1st Quarter
The Pioneers went three and out on their first drive of the game before the Bald Eagles had a 69-yard drive to the endzone to take an early 7-0 lead. GSU quickly answered back as

Tariq Miller down the middle of the field for a 75-yard touchdown reception to tie the game. LHU drove down the field but a great defensive play by
Mark Shepherd Jr. forced a turnover on downs but the Pioneers couldn't capitalize, punting the ball on another three and out.
2nd Quarter
Lock Haven didn't leave empty handed on their next drive, finishing it out with a six-yard TD run to take the lead. The Bald Eagles then scored consecutive touchdowns and held GSU scoreless to take a 28-7 lead into the locker room.
3rd Quarter
Punts, turnover on downs and interceptions is what filled the third quarter as neither team was able to put points on the board. Freshman
Jaiden McLendon Parker picked up his first interception of his young career for the Pioneers right before the end of the quarter.
4th Quarter
Following an interception, Lock Haven was handed a short field to work with and ended it with a field goal. A few drives later, a 48-yard punt to the one-yard line by
Zander Watson allowed the Pioneer defense to pick up a safety, which put the score at would eventually be the final, 31-9.

Jackson Ostrowsky threw for 201 yards with two touchdowns and an interception for the Bald Eagles. KJ Howard led the rushing attack with 161 yards and one touchdown on 21 carries. Three receivers finished with over 50 receiving yards, led by Nino Cinti's three catches for 62 yards. Corahn Alleyne and T-iar Young both pulled down touchdown receptions.
Defensively, three Bald Eagles tallied five total tackles. Rocco Daugherty had himself a game, racking up five tackles and a team leading two interceptions. Davien Vernon also finished with an interception.
Glenville State
Anthony Garrett was 6-for-17 for 117 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions.
Zavione Wood (12 rushes, 36 yards) and
Markquan Rucker (10 carries, 36 yards) took a load of the carries.
Tariq Miller finished with two receptions, 73 yards and one receiving touchdown to lead the receiving core.
Senior
Shaun Sterling Jr. led the Pioneer defense with 13 total tackles, including 11 solo stops and a tackle for loss.
Sean Scott finished with eight tackles and three tackles for loss and
Hayden Moore added seven tackles.
Jaiden McLendon Parker notched an interception in the loss.
