GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State Men's Basketball turns their focus back to MEC foes with Davis & Elkins at home on Wednesday (Jan 8) and West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday (Jan 11) in Buckhannon. The Pioneers were swept by the Senators in 2023-24 but have won the last five meetings against the Bobcats.

2024-25 Season
The Senators are (5-7, 2-3 MEC) as they are on a three-game losing streak to start the new year. In the Mountain East Conference, the Senators are ranked 5th on the defensive side of the ball and they are ranked 9th in offense, scoring 75.8 points per game as a team.
Head Coach
Daniel Harris is in his first season as the Head Coach of the Davis & Elkins Men's Basketball program. Prior to becoming HC, Harris was the assistant coach with the Senators under Dan Mondragen, where the team would achieve its first back-to-back winning seasons in 69 years.

The Senators are led in scoring by Nicholas Silva and Sam Rolle IV, who are both averaging 15 points per game. Silva also leads the team on the boards with 7.3 rebounds per game. Rolle IV, along with points, also leads the team in assists and steals per game with 3.9 assists per game and 1.5 steals per game. Emmanuel Oladeru leads the team in blocks per game with 1.2 swats per game. Another notable player for the Senators is Nnadozie Okoroji, who is averaging 10 points per game, four rebounds per game and shooting 40% from three-point range.

The Bobcats have had a rough start to the season as they have gone (2-10, 0-5 MEC). The Bobcats have a chance to get a win before hosting the Pioneers as they take on Concord on Wednesday. The Bobcats are ranked 7th in the Mountain East Conference in defense and ranked 11th on offense, only averaging 68 points per game as a team.
Head Coach
Derek Sloan is in his fourth season as the Head Coach of the Bobcats. Prior to his head coaching stint, he was an assistant coach at WVWC.

The Bobcats are led in scoring by Alex Mirhosseini (15.8 PPG), Micheal Batchelor (14.5 PPG) and Curtis Litton (10.9 PPG). On the boards, the Bobcats are led by Alex Gray, who is averaging 6.7 rebounds per game. Mirhosseini also leads the team in assists with 4.5 assists per game.

The Pioneers currently rank 2nd in the league in defense, only allowing an average of 74 points per game to opponents and they rank 8th on offense, averaging 81 points per game as a team.

The Pioneers are led this season in scoring by Devin Collins' 15 points per game and Samier Kinsler, who is averaging 12 points per game.
