GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State Acrobatics & Tumbling will open the 2025 season tomorrow (Feb. 9) at West Liberty for a tri-meet with the Hilltoppers and No. 6 Fairmont State. In 2024, the Pioneers defeated WLU but fell to the Falcons.

THE OPPONENTS
WEST LIBERTY
2025 Season
The Hilltoppers started their 2025 season last Sunday (Feb. 2) against Wheeling, defeating the Cardinals 245.225-185.170. WLU completed the 2024 season (4-6, 2-3 MEC), qualifying for the MEC Tournament and winning one MEC Event Championship.
Head Coach
Kelsey Kyle is in her sixth season as the HC of the Hilltoppers. Kyle also serves as the Co-Compliance Coordinator and was an All-MEC First Team selection during her collegiate career at Fairmont State.

The Hilltoppers returned multiple all-conference performers in Kayla Gandy, Abbey Horvath, Gillian Hartz and Avery Ray. WLU was picked T-4
th in the MEC Preseason Poll with Kutztown. West Liberty never trailed in their win over Wheeling, beating the Cardinals by at least five points in each event.
FAIRMONT STATE
2024 Season
The Falcons had a great 2024, going (7-3, 5-0 MEC) and making it to the MEC Championship before falling to Frostburg State. Fairmont State also qualified for the NCATA National Tournament as the No. 8 seed.
Head Coach
Danielle Cutri enters her fifth season leading the Falcons. Cutri, the 2021 MEC Coach of the Year, has led the Falcons to four-straight MEC Championship appearances (winning two) and three-consecutive NCATA National Tournament Appearances.

Fairmont State returns NCATA All-American Katey Koehl and All-MEC selections Izaria McWhorter-Martin, Reghan Mollohan, Alexis Wilkinson, Chloe Smith and Rylee Vinson. FSU was picked to win the Mountain East Conference with 35 total points and five first-place votes. The Falcons were also notched as the nation's No. 6 team heading into the season, voted by the coaches.
THE PIONEERS
GLENVILLE STATE
2024 Season
The Pioneers had an historic 2024 campaign, going (6-4, 4-2 MEC) with six overall victories tying the season-season record at GSU and the four conference wins setting a new program record. GSU also won three MEC Event Championships and qualified two events for NCATA Nationals.
Head Coach
Taylor Broadwater is in her third season as the HC at her alma mater, Glenville State. Broadwater took the Pioneers to the MEC Tournament in both of her first two years, winning six meets in 2024 and five in 2023. Before GSU, Broadwater was an assistant coach and interim HC at West Virginia Wesleyan.
