INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The No. 2 Glenville State Wrestling team logged three top 25 victories yesterday (Feb. 9) at the Greyhound Duals in Indianapolis. The Pioneers defeated No. 24 Maryville, 30-12, No. 23 Indianapolis, 21-17, and No. 7 McKendree, 27-15.

Glenville State won seven of the 10 weight classes against Maryville, taking the early advantage and never looking back. Against UIndy, the Pioneers and the Greyhounds were tied at 12 after the midway point but three consecutive wins at 174, 184 and 197 pushed the blue and white to the win. After grabbing an early lead against McKendree, the Pioneers fell behind 15-10 with three weight classes remaining. A tech fall victory from Hayden Pummel and a pin from Kyle Homet gave GSU the eventual victory.
