Preview: GSU Acro & Tumbling Makes First-Ever Trip to Kutztown

GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Acrobatics & Tumbling travels to Pennsylvania to take on Kutztown on Friday (Mar.28) to take on the Golden Bears in the Keystone Arena. The Golden Bears are an MEC only member in Acrobatics & Tumbling.

THE OPPONENTS
KUTZTOWN
2025 Season
The Golden Bears come into this meet with a record of (6-1, 3-1 MEC) after winning their most recent meet against Wheeling and West Liberty. The Golden Bears are averaging a score of 235.766 per meet.

Head Coach
Karah Paull enters her fourth season as the Head Coach of Kutztown University's Acrobatic & Tumbling team. In the first season in program history, Coach Paull led the team to a (3-3) record. Every year the team has seen improvement, going (5-3) in 2023 and (6-3) in 2024.

In their last meet, the Golden Bears put up a season-high in points with a total meet score of 248.030. In this meet, the Golden Bears' best performances came in the pyramid and tumbling events. In the pyramid event, they earned a total score of 28.25 out of 30 possible points, even putting up a 9.95 in the open pyramid heat. In the tumbling event ,they were awarded a 48.700 and in the six element pass, put up a score of 9.400.

The Pioneers enter (5-2, 4-1 MEC) after beating West Virginia State to pick up another conference victory. The Pioneers are averaging a score of 248.239 per meet.

Quick Look at The Pioneers
In their most recent meet of the season, the Pioneers continued their streak of scoring 250 points or more, showing their improvement from the start of the season. They continued to flourish in the pyramid event, scoring 29.25 out of 30, while putting up two 9.85 scores in both the inversion pyramid and the open pyramid. The Pioneers continue to show improvements in the tumbling event, scoring 48.375. They also earned 9.150 in the ariel pass and 9.300 in the six-element pass.
