GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Acrobatics & Tumbling is set to travel to Fairmont to take on third-seeded Frostburg State in the semifinals of the Mountain East Conference Tournament. In the regular season, GSU defeated the then-nationally ranked Bobcats by 2.775 points.

2025 Season
The Bobcats finished up the regular season with a record of (4-5, 4-2 MEC) to earn the third seed in the Mountain East Conference Tournament. In the regular season, FSU averaged a score of 241.207 per meet.
Head Coach
Katie Amedure is in her fifth season as the Head Coach of the Frostburg States Acro & Tumbling program. Amedure has led the Bobcats to win back-to-back MEC titles and has a career record of (25-15).

The Bobcats, in their final regular season meet, put their best total meet score with a final score of 253.420. The Bobcats best performance came in the pyramid event, where they scored 9.55 or higher in all three heats. The Bobcats' worst performance came in the tumbling event where they scored 48.150 out of their 52.300 start value, still securing a solid outing in the event.. Since their last matchup with the Pioneers, Frostburg State has only increase in start value has come in the toss event, going from a 27.40 to a 28.30 start value.

2025 Season
The Pioneers finished up the regular season with a record of (7-2, 5-1 MEC) to earn the second seed in the Mountain East Conference Tournament, averaging a score of 248.561 per meet during the year.
Quick Look at The Pioneers
The Pioneers ended the regular season in fashion, putting up multiple season-high scores, which also included a new meet high of 261.190. Glenville State's best performances in the meet came in the Acro, Pyramid, and team event. In the Acro event, they scored a 9.90 in the five-element heat while also putting up a season high of 28.80 for the event total. In the pyramid event, the Pioneers put up another 9.90 in the open pyramid heat, helping tie their season best in the event with a score of 29.35. In team event, GSU notched a season high of 89.34 and only saw a deduction of 8.54 points in the event. While the tumbling hasn't been the Pioneers top event, they managed to put on their best performance of the season and scored a season high 49.850 in the tumbling event.
Along with their semifinal matchup with the Bobcats, Glenville State qualified 12 events for the MEC Event Finals on Saturday (Apr. 12) at 11 a.m. GSU's 12 qualified events is the second-most in the league, behind Fairmont State's 14. The Pioneers will compete in the Five-Element Acro, Six-Element Acro, Seven-Element Acro, Inversion Pyramid, Synchronized Pyramid, Open Pyramid, 450 Salto Toss, Synchronized Toss, Open Toss, Quad Tumbling, Aerial Tumbling and Six-Element Tumbling.
