Sioux Falls, S.D. - The Glenville State Acrobatics & Tumbling competed in the NCATA Event Finals today in which they competed in Five-Element Acro and the Inversion Pyramid.
The Pioneers first event was Five-Element Acro, where they would finish fifth with a score of 9.450Â behind Baylor, Oregon, Limestone and Mary Hardin-Baylor. Baylor was crowned champion in the event with a score of 9.925.
The final event for the Pioneers was the Inversion Pyramid. In the event, GSU placed fourth with a score of 9.700 behind Baylor, Oregon and Quinnipiac. The Baylor Bears were also named champions in the Inversion Pyramid, scoring 9.825.
This would mark the end of an historic season for the Pioneers as they defeated two nationally ranked teams and earned a national ranking as high as 13. The Pioneers finished with a record of (8-3, 5-1 MEC) while also finishing second place in the Mountain East Conference Tournament and bringing home four MEC Event Championships.
