GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State athletes Elaina Seeley and JD Sherrod have been picked GoMart Pioneers of the Week, the GSU Athletic Department announced.

Seeley was named the Mountain East Conference Women's Golf Player of the Year at last week's MEC Championship. The junior out of Circleville, Ohio was the top finisher in the tournament, shooting (+20) over the three rounds of championship play. Seeley's performance helped lead the Pioneers to a second-place finish as a team.

Sherrod threw for 362 yards and three touchdowns on 35-of-53 passing in Glenville State football's 34-31 loss at Concord on Saturday. The former Southeast Missouri State transfer helped lead the Pioneers to 21 second-half points, including a 90-yard drive that made it a one score game in the closing minutes of the contest.
