Preview: Final Week of Regular Season Up Next for Lady Pioneers

GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State Lady Pioneer Basketball will look to lock down the MEC regular season title with a one game lead heading into final week against Charleston and Concord at home. GSU will host the Golden Eagles on Wednesday (Feb. 25) before finalzing the regular season on Saturday (Feb. 28) with the Mountain Lions.

2025-26 Season
The Golden Eagles are (17-9) overall and (13-5) in league play as UC is one game behind Glenville State in the Mountain East Conference standings.

Paris Stokes leads the team in scoring at 14.2 points per game while Harper Annarino scores 11.1 PPG and grabs a team-leading leading 9.5 boards per game. Ksenija Mitric adds another scoring threat for the gold and maroon, putting together 10.5 points per game.

Concord comes in at (17-9) overall and (12-6) in MEC play, currently in the log jam between 1st and 5th place in the conference standings.

Former Lady Pioneer Kenyah Stubbs averages 15.7 points and five rebounds for the Mountain Lions while Olivia Ziolkowski averages 10.5 points and 5.9 rebounds each night out.

In control of their own destiny, the Lady Pioneers are (20-5) overall and (14-4) in Mountain East Conference play.Glenville State is (9-1) in the friendly confines of the Waco Center and looking to put a stamp on the regular season before postseason play.

The team is led by Carine Pinkney, who scores over 15 points per contest at 15.4, is shooting at a 53% clip, and is second on the team in steals and assists. Nwando Okigbo scores 10.9 points per game, while averaging 7.5 rebounds and has 25 blocks on the year. Stevi Yancy leads the team in assists at 61 on the season and scores 8.5 points from her point guard position.
