Preview: Lady Pioneers Look to Extend Four-Game Winning Streak

GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State Women's Basketball is geared up for one conference matchup on the road this week against Point Park and a non-conference meeting at home against Salem. Glenville State beat the PPU Pioneers, 110-98, at home and the Tigers, 105-58, on the road earlier this year.

2025-26 Season
Coming in with a (6-12) overall record and (3-10) mark in conference play, the Pioneers split last week's games with West Virginia Wesleyan (L, 65-46) and Davis & Elkins (W, 86-66).

Quick Look at The Pioneers
The Pioneers are led by Camilie Fultz, who is averaging 15 points per game while Alexis Giles scores 12.5 points and Elizabeth Boyd scores 12.4 PPG. Boyd leads the team in rebounding at 8.4 boards per game and Lexi Adams scores ten points per night and averages eight rebounds a game.

SALEM
2025-26 Season
Salem comes in at (2-16) overall, picking up their second win of the season on Saturday (Jan. 31) against Davis & Elkins when they beat the Senators 72-40.

The Tigers are led by Selena Frost as the team's only double-digit scorer at 12.9 points per game. Nakayla Green averages 9.4 points, Meilin Guo averages 8.3 points and leads the team in rebounding with 5.5 per game while Batuol Khaleefah and Briana Bunkley both average 7.7 points a night.

2025-26 Season
Coming off an impressive win at Fairmont State and winning their last four games, head coach Emily Stoller's team looks to continue their hot streak into February with their (16-3, 11-2 MEC) record.

Quick Look at The Lady Pioneers
Senior guard Carine Pinkney leads the way for the offense as she averages 15 points per game on 53% shooting and also has 37 assists on the year. Nwando Okigbo averages 11.8 points per game and grabs 7.9 rebounds while fellow forward Khalia Bryant scores just over ten points and averages seven rebounds. Point guard Stevi Yancy leads the team in assists with 46 on the year and is also scoring eight points a game. Marshall transfer Jayda Allie leads the team in three-pointers made, while Payton James leads in three-point field goal percentage at 35%.
